James Maynard

James
Maynard is Chairman & CEO of the Investors Management Corporation, a
holding company for food service and service industries, the largest
of which is Golden Corral Corporation.
Mr. Maynard graduated from East Carolina University in 1965 with a
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He organized Investors Management
Corporation and developed Golden Corral Family Steak House
restaurant chain and other IMC subsidiaries. Golden Corral is now
the owner or franchisor of approximately 500 restaurants nationwide
with sales in excess of $1.3 billion.
James Maynard has been involved with many business organizations,
with particular focus in the restaurant business sector. He is a
Founding Board Member of Research Triangle World Trade Corporation.
Many honors have been bestowed on Mr. Maynard for his commitment and
dedication to the food service industry, including an Honorary
Doctor of Business Administration in Food Service Management from
Johnson & Wales University, and The Newcomen Society Award for
Outstanding Business Leadership.
James Maynard is married to Connie Mizzelle Maynard, originally of
Plymouth, NC. They have 2 children, one daughter and one son.
