Chris Sullivan, with his partners, opened the first Outback Steakhouses in March, 1988.  There are now over 570 Outback Steakhouses, located worldwide.  Outback also operates 72 Carrabba’s Italian Grills and several other hospitality related businesses.  Sullivan is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business and Economics.  He started his restaurant management career in 1972 at Steak and Ale and continued at Bennigan’s.  He is an avid golfer, and with his associates, created a new golfer’s club in 1997, known as Old Memorial Golf Club.  He is a partner in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and serves on its Executive Committee.  Sullivan is also involved in numerous civic and educational organizations.
